A leading global design consultancy, our client is an international leader in all aspects of water and wastewater. Unlike many other of the top multinational players in the water space, they have a comprehensive Australian presence, able to deliver everything from infrastructure mega-projects to surface water studies.
As a result of their ongoing strong growth, which has continued during the economic downturn, there is now an opportunity to join their New South Wales water and wastewater team as a Principal Water and Wastewater Engineer. In this role you will take on a leadership role within the team, both technical and management. Working out of the Sydney office, you will lead major project tenders, and take leadership roles on project delivery, including alliances and D&Cs. The scope of your role will extend beyond State borders, and you will be expected to apply your expertise in projects nationally and overseas. You will be expected to progress quickly into either a senior line management role, or further develop your technical expertise, depending on your choice of career path. Our client is not a top heavy organisation, and top performers can expect rapid career progress.
This is the ideal opportunity if you have gained the respect of your peers and clients, but do not see a great deal opportunity to move your career forward with your current employer. Alternatively, due to the flexibility of career path, it could be that you are being pushed in one direction by your firm, but would like to take a different path.
The successful applicant is likely to have a Civil or Environmental engineering degree. You will have at least 12 years experience in water and wastewater, including design and design management of civil water infrastructure in a top tier consultancy. Ideally you will have taken on lead roles within major alliance projects.
